At the dawn of her college career, young science geek Janet thought her path in life was, like most natural processes, fairly predictable. But then, unexpectedly, she became the heroine of this story. Now she's on her way to earning a prestigious university degree in, um, fine arts, and the journey will be anything but logical. With her klutzy demeanor and her glaringly un-artistic personality and fashion sense, Janet is not so much a fish out of water as a fish in the vacuum of space! |
At a completely different end of the spectrum, we find Tabitha... Tabby for short. As a free spirit who has no interest in being weighed down by conventions, traditions, proper technique or even common sense, Tabby's artistic style is unabashedly post-modern. She has high hopes to some day convince Janet to become just like herself and everyone she knows : non-conformist! |

Being an ambitious and passionate painter, Kai has an insatiable thirst for inspiration, and is seemingly always one step away from creating a masterpiece... But so far he hasn't quite done it. Kai's successes are facilitated by his good looks and charisma, and as much as our heroine would like nothing better than to get a piece of his attention, she's bound to find that painterly ambition is a worthy adversary. |
Not being cool or rich enough to move out, Janet continues to live at home, which means that childish sibling rivalries die hard. Evan never misses an opportunity to irritate his sister, and luckily for him, she's the particularly irritable type. He also finds the image of her as an artist absolutely hysterical, and uses it to tease and embarrass her. In spite of all this, even Janet has to admit that Evan's a pretty smart kid. |
