Janet's glasses are certainly her most prominent feature. I've sometimes wondered if they were a little bit too ridiculous and cartoony for such a down-to-earth story and setting. But on the other hand, having such huge eyes gives her an expressiveness that the other characters don't quite have, and I think it works well.
