Notably absent from the anywhere in the comic are Janet and Evan's parents, although there's no question that they're around somewhere. This strip may be the closest we get to seeing them, since they might well be just out of frame to the right. Since I never was able to think of a way to integrate parental characters into the storyline in a suitable way, I decided it was better to leave them out entirely and all but pretend they don't exist.
