Just thought I should check in once during August, even though the site isn't being updated right now, just to let you know I haven't disappeared off the face of the Earth/abandoned my site. I'm also doing this now because it's the last chance I have to post or make any site changes until September, as I'm leaving for Ukraine in a couple of days and will be gone for over two weeks.

So, some comic-related news: When The Artiste starts updating again (which will happen, sit tight!) it will probably go back to being just once per week. I know, I know, I made a big deal out of doubling my output just a few months ago, but that was in May when the school year was ending, and realistically there's no way I can maintain that ambitious pace outside of the summer months. Also, the numbers didn't justify the extra effort as much as I had hoped... I naïvely thought it would work miracles for my popularity (LOL), but even to conclude that readership of this comic doubled after the number of strips per week doubled would be very optimistic indeed... it certainly increased, but by no means did it skyrocket. But you know what? I went for a good solid year only updating once a week, and a decent number of people still stuck around and enjoyed what I was doing, and it was enough. So I think for the time being I'll learn to appreciate having a relatively small but loyal readership... The really big stuff will come in good time, heheh.
