The Artiste Manquée: A Web comic by Simon H

SF Spotlight: School Spirit

There's no other comic out there quite like School Spirit by Daniel VanderWerff. Not only is it an Australian webcomic (ooh, exotic!), but it also has some of the most unique character designs I've ever seen... believe me, nothing else looks like this comic. The big-eared, vaguely mouse-like cast of schoolchildren is well balanced and endlessly amusing, as are their frequent encounters with the eponymous "spirits." Did I mention that this comic is Australian? I did? Well it bears repeating, because it really is an important point; the story is packed with references to its down-under setting, and while reading through it you'll get the additional benefit of learning an astonishing amount about the land of dingos and cricket. It's one comic that'll definitely stay in your mind.
